Getting started with any new technology can be tough. There is software to install, many buttons and various features to learn.
We are here to make that process a little easier – Well, when it comes to SpeechLive, anyway.
You are probably here because you have just purchased the cloud dictation platform and have found yourself wondering “How do I use SpeechLive?”.
You are in the right place, my friend!
As a Philips Gold Partner, our engineers have answered common questions that we are asked by SpeechLive users and popped them in one handy place just for you!
Let’s dive into it…
Using SpeechLive FAQs
Where do I find dictation settings?
For the mobile app, tap on the cog wheel for ‘Settings’ and there you will find options to customise your dictation experience such as keeping the display on while recording.
If you are using the desktop app or web browser and can’t find the dictation settings, call us on 01423 649 077.
Is voice dictation safe?
Yes! SpeechLive stores dictation on Microsoft Azure servers due to their uncompromising security standards and processes to ensure the highest level of data privacy and security.
SpeechLive also has various security certificates which can be provided upon request.
How do I reset my Philips foot control?
In the new SL portal, click the ‘Connected Devices’ icon next to the ‘Upload’ button. Your connected foot control should be visible, click on it to make it active. If you cannot see your pedal, double-check it is connected properly. If the issue persists, call us to check further.
How do you allocate jobs to another person?
You can only allocate jobs to another person if you are the author of the dictation. If you are not the author, this is only possible if you have the Office Manager View available to you.
Click on “Office Manager View”, click on the chosen dictation and at the top left, you will see the ‘Reassign’ icon become available. Choose where you would like it to go.
If you are the author of the dictation in question, just click on the dictation and the ‘Reassign’ icon becomes available, then you can allocate to your choosing.
How to re-type an already archived/deleted dictation?
By default, archived dictations are only visible to the uploader and related transcriptionists. If the dictation in question was archived but not yet purged (deleted) it will be visible in the ‘Archived’ tab on the left-hand side of the old SL portal.
On the new SL portal, click on the downward arrow next to ‘My Dictations’ in the top left-hand corner to find the ‘Archived’ option.
How do I reset my SpeechLive password?
You can reset your password by contacting your Philips Reseller/Partner (like us!) or on the login screen, click on ‘Forgot your password?’ and follow the instructions.
What is the Philips Device Control Centre?
The Philips Device Control Centre allows you to manage your Philips hardware products. You must install the software to set up and manage your Philips device.
