The news is out! Microsoft Dragon Copilot will be available in the UK in August this year.
The highly anticipated speech recognition and AI assistant hybrid platform aims to address issues facing the NHS in recent years: Long backlogs, inadequate care, and pressures on staff.
In anticipation of the launch, we’ve had many questions regarding Dragon Copilot, so we’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions, and answered them in a straightforward list:
- When is it available in the UK? The launch is scheduled between August and September 2025.
- Who is it for? Healthcare professionals, both primary and secondary.
- How much will it be? We haven’t received confirmed pricing yet, but we’ll let you know when we do!
- Will I be able to try it? Yes! We’ll be offering free trials – The trial launch date is yet to be confirmed.
- How will it be licensed? It’ll be an annual subscription model, the same as Dragon.
- What can Dragon Copilot be used for? Transcribing patient appointments, creating an AI summary of appointments, compiling clinical documentation and more.
- Is it secure? Yes, all of the products we supply are. Microsoft also takes security incredibly seriously, hosting their products in the UK on Microsoft Azure servers.
- Does it integrate with patient record systems? Yes, it does. Although we haven’t been informed what ones as of yet.
- Are different languages available? No, but there is a multilingual conversation-converting feature. This means that non-English speaking patients can speak in their native tongue and Dragon Copilot will translate their words into English.
- Will you be selling it? Yes, we will! We’re so excited to work with our existing and new healthcare clients to make powerful changes.
