Dragon Medical One Boosts Staff Wellbeing for North Bristol NHS

The Radiology and Breast Departments had been struggling with their previous voice recognition software. The team needed better accuracy and less corrections – Which is why we introduced them to Dragon Medical One.

Dragon Medical One has been a tremendous success and has literally stopped the daily email complaints of our old voice recognition (VR) system overnight. The feedback of the quality, accuracy and ease of use has been unanimous.

I’m collecting our reporting data which I’m confident will objectively demonstrate improved reporting efficiency. It has certainly improved everyone’s wellbeing as our previous poor VR platform was associated with a huge amount of unnecessary frustrations, mistakes and re-work. DMO allows us to concentrate on reporting rather than correcting VR errors.

Finally, the support from our DMO provider VoicePower, in particular Paul Vincent, is far superior than from other IT suppliers I’ve encountered. The VoicePower support team are very responsive and have quickly resolved the few issues that have arisen.

We currently have 75 licenses for 2 years for CCS, and I have a waiting list of users. VP provide monthly usage stats, allowing me to optimise usage amongst the reporting radiologists, radiographers and sonographers, and I can easily switch on and off licenses, this is useful as we have around 24 rotating SpRs twice a year.”
